Accumulated debris and dirt on an air conditioner or heat pump coil increase airflow resistance through the coil,  so the air handler efficiency will  decrease accordingly; increasing the cost of heating or cooling the building.  In some cases cooling or condensing coils can become so dirt that air flow is seriously reduced,  leading sometimes to a common  evaporator or cooling coil icing problem inside or an superheated, damaged compressor outside

An obstructed evaporator coil can cause the compressor to operate to higher than normal temperatures ; thus shortening the life of the compressor motor itself.

To ameliorate  this problem change your AC air filter in a regular basis.

If you notice icing on the evaporator coil, or water leaking call us immediately and prolong the life of your valuable AC system.
